An obvious lack of planning. He went out there to cut a promo in the shouty style of every wrestler interview from 1984 to 1995. Problem is, he didn't have a match to hype so it completely fell apart. He's supposed to be being interviewed, but he's alternatively shouting straight into the camera, or turning his back to the camera and trying to get some heat with the crowd, who really didn't care, and might not have even known who he was. Was he trying to take credit for Warrior leaving WWF at the end there because Warrior was scared of him? If he was coming in as a main event heel, that makes sense, but he's auditioning to sit in the announce booth.

The main take away from all this is that Mean Gene is the greatest interviewer in the history of the business and will never be equalled.
