Researching is a real niche thing and not everyone likes using their skills and resources to move projects along. I started this topic to see who weighs in with things they are thinking of starting or are doing offline and will post later, that kind of thing. It might bring people with a common idea together, or avoid duplicity before it can start, refocusing a researcher's efforts ahead of time.
Moreover there may be people who don't post in this forum but have areas of interest nobody has covered yet. A morsel of an idea might spark a researcher to take on a new project, or at least offer suggestions to a novice as to where to look.
If having this thread active generates some unique discussions and traffic, it will be mission accomplished.
