My guess is he might have wrestled Nick and Heenan in a handicap bout. I can't see the two of them dropping the match to Buck and Tito. I did search half-heartedly to see if they covered the results in the following day's paper besides their photo gallery on the weekend and didn't see anything... although during the days in between they did highlight one or two photos that didn't make the weekend edition. Was there so much going on in the thriving metropolis of Spencer, Iowa that they couldn't have someone do an actual report? Grr.
