Bobby Heenan has pulled out of the NWA Legends Fan Fest. Apparently he fell and broke his shoulder and his hip.

Also according to the same link, JBL does not have cancer.

From Herbie...

Heenan injured
Greg Price, who is doing the NWA Legends wrestling convention next weekend in Charlotte announced today that Bobby Heenan had canceled appearing as he suffered a fractured pelvis and broken shoulder after falling on Tuesday. Heenan had been unsteady because a few weeks ago he had fallen and broken his hip.
He will be undergoing shoulder surgery on 8/4.

That sucks, poor guy. I find when older people have falls where they break or injure their hips or pelvis that it is always the beginning of the end. Things usually get progressively worse health wise after a fall like that. I'm going through this now with my Grandmother who had two serious falls like this in a little over a six month period.
How old is Heenan now?

Heenan turns 66 this year, if sources are to be believed.

Poor guy has had an incredibly tough time over the past several years.

I've met a fuckload of standup comics and Bobby Heenan is the funniest person I've ever met. It really makes me sad to see him in that shape.

Unfortunately this does seem to be true the majority of the time. It's a shame the man has to endure these major health problems at a still relatively young age.
