I was taken to the Funk-Race title change in Feb 1977 at Maple Leaf Gardens by a friend of mine's father for my friends bday. It was my first exposure to wrestling in total. Not a bad way to start off, NWA belt changing hands.

Plus I know that it really pisses O'sullivan off that I got to see a title change live and he didn't.

the first thing I remember watching was Adrian Adonis wrestling some jobber on a Saturday morning WWF show. I got fascinated by the show Adonis put on with getting ready to wrestle, it seemed like it took him 20 minutes to get out of his leather gloves and jacket. I guess this was early 82, cause I don't remember any 81 angles talked about but remember all the 82 angles.

I remember catching a glimpse or two of NWA on TBS in the early 80's. The only thing I really remember was this angle...

My mother says I used to put on a bathrobe and imitate some of the AWA Japanese wrestlers back when I was very young. I don't remember that, though.

Earliest memory is being scared to death for the Sheik's opponent whenever he would get a TV match on Superstars of Wrestling. Only George Cannon getting up from the announcer's table and threatening to come into the ring ever got him to break the Camel Clutch on his poor jobber opponent.

That would Have been mid-70's-ish, I think.

my older brother introduced me to many things, some good, some bad :-)

but in early 1974 I was hooked the first time I saw Fuji-Tanaka, Dean Ho-Tony Garea - Captain Lou Albano, Chief Jay Strongbow, Andre the Giant, the Valiant Brothers, Gorilla Monsoon, Killer Kowalski etc.

but this was curious to me - who was the champ?   they kept talking about the Living legend Bruno Sammrtino as WWWF Champion but I never saw him on TV, not even a promo, for a good long while

Now that you mention it I do remember Tony Garea & Dean Ho which was earlier than the (1976) memory that I listed. Good stuff.

My earliest recollection for the WWWF is Ho/Garea dropping the belts to the Valiants.

The earliest wrestling memory is Pittsburgh Studio Wrestling.

beej, I could not find any footage on youtube of the Cobra Clutch Challenge with Patterson.
