It sure is good to have football back.

We kick off with a rematch of last year's NFC Championship game. Should be a good one. Hope everyone has a chance to enjoy this evening. Feel free to talk about it.

Oh -- Cards 7 Braves 3 in the fourth inning :)

Hopefully it is not another fuckin' Katrina telethon.

Don't get me wrong, as a person who deals with hurricane season every year, I feel for the victims...but...I just wanna see and talk about some football.

And the Saints signal they are number one as do the Vikings. No wait. They are saying "we are one" and a reference to the collection bargaining negotiations that will happen after the season. I wonder if that "spectacle" will be repeated in other cities.

That didn't take long. First drive of the game results in a TD. Nice.

Vintage Favre. Trailing 7-3, 45 seconds left before the half connects with Shiancoe. Extra point is blocked. 9-7 Vikes.

It has been a close and surprisingly low scoring game.

I am still worried about the Saints run D. The LBs played much better than I expected. Vilma is a beast but after that they are iffy there.

The Saints kicker also missed a field goal. Things that make you go hmmmm. Glad I don't bet.

He missed 2 Fgs.

Also someone please teach Al Fucking Michaels how to say New Orleans. I want to bash him in his withered face every time he butchers it.

the extra point was tipped/blocked, so he didn't just blindly miss it.

Vikings defense except for the first drive looked good.  The difference between my Pirates and Vikings is that the Vikings can make me beleive they have a chance to win it all.  That and back to the Viking women have big ankles
