The Tony Angelo who appeared in West Texas between November 1951 and January 1952 was referred to as "Tony Angelo Poffo from Chicago" in the Abilene Reporter-Times. This fits with a gap in Poffo's career record posted here.

Great info!

It had bothered me for awhile, that I had (the original) Tony Angelo going back and forth between Canada and Texas in that timeframe. Never made the connection to Poffo.

So was their another Tony Angelo who did work Canada? Quebec specifically? I have some old programs 1948-1953 Quebec which have Tony Angelo and never thought it might be Poffo:)
