As we mentioned earlier today on the site, WWE has suspended Jeff Hardy. The word made the rounds at Raw last night. He has been given a 60 day suspension for his second violation of the company's Wellness Policy.

Biggest push in his life and the dumb shit fucks it up...so much for him winning the title anytime soon.

Have to give WWE a lot of credit no one thought that a top star would be suspended this close to WM

This guy's clearly a moron.  He'd finally won my support and 2 months back I was hoping he'd get the belt off Orton

Glad he didnt.  Stupid decisions.

And all coming on the eve of his biggest payday(or second after the Rumble) of the year. He was scheduled for WM, wasn't he, I'm not sure?
Fuck if he's having a hard time staying clean on the road(You've gotta admit, with him being an addict it's gotta be extremely hard living that life and being on the road)take a sponsor with you and share the motel with them. Is he married or have a girlfriend? Bring her with him.
His brother Matt is hurt right now and off TV and the road right? Maybe Matt's been the only reason Jeff hasn't gone completely to hell and OD'ed and all that fun shit months and months ago. He probably looked out for his brother. The boy's got a serious, serious problem. Maybe he can't handle this lifestyle and should get out now before he goes and blows everything he's made in the business. Do something that is not as big a risk for him to fuck up and kill himself or someone else.

WWE should start treating these drug suspensions like the pro sports leagues do. The announcers should come right out during Raw or SD and tell everybody why "so and so wrestler is not here this week" or why "so and so is not going to be at the PPV this Sunday" after being advertised as so for the last month. First it will show that the WWE is serious about this and they are not trying to down play the situation or hide the fact they are not going to be there with silly excuses like they are injured or are attending to "personal" matters. Plus it may embarrass the talent a bit to make him think twice the next time. Then when they get back from their suspension they should have to give a public apology on Raw. Don't have him come down to the ring, but have a pre taped video shown.
Ah who am I trying to kid, we're dealing with carnies here and if they went that route I'm sure "creative" would turn it all into a big "angle" anyway to pop a few ratings or buyrates.

On a professional level they should be interested in helping the person "get help" and not in creating embarassment or hard feelings.

ok, to answer my own question they do not screen for pot- although if a worker is arrested for possession that will trigger the suspension-  Orton was suspended for openly smoking a joint backstage but the suspension was for "behavioral" issues

seems most suspended workers have tested positive for painkillers and of course steroids-  Hardy's first suspension is cloudy...one declared reason was "maturity" issues...he looks like he could be a cokehead though, he'd have to be high to do some of the shit he does

What a tool. He was probably looking at minimum 50-100k payday.

Definitely very stupid of him. He was right on the verge of breaking through to becoming a top star and he goes and fucks it all up for himself. Stupid! Stupid! It pisses me off too because I've been a fan for a while and really wanted to see him turn it around. I hope they give his Wrestlemania spot to someone who truly deserves a chance now.

There was a groundswell of support for him to get the title at some point in 2008, both internally and externally.  He's never been more over, never gotten a stronger push.  After all the previous chances they gave him combined with the time they wasted in pushing him over the past 6 months and the embarrassment this has caused, I would not at all be surprised if he gets released.  Where can you go with him now anyway?

I can't see how you could get through the whole nonsense of the "biz" without hitting the bong.  I'd be smoking whatever they threw at me.
