Came across this doing some research a while ago:

Brower returns to the WWWF in 1979, does the first TV taping of the year with Albano as his MGR.

He appears regularly on TV building to a MSG shot vs Backlund.

He goes around the horn a few times with Putski

He continues to see regular work, nearly every night

Makes a final TV appearance on:

8/18/79:
Bulldog Brower defeated Frank Williams

Then doesn’t appear on TV again till:

11/24/79:
Bulldog Brower & Swede Hanson defeated Dominic DeNucci & Johnny Rivera at 9:53 when Hanson pinned Rivera with a backbreaker over the knee

He then works regularly until August 80, (including some no shows)

Re-appears again on the 12/27/80 Baltimore card

Works all of 1981, and in to 1982 before disappearing.

So this guy stays in the fed for 3 years the final 2 of it not making one documented TV appearance and final 2 ½ years only making 1.  This seems extremely odd, even though his push was over and he was losing quite a bit and mostly working mid-card heel, it would seem that they would have him work tapings even as a Scicluna/Denucci type guy.

Anyone  have any idea about this, I don’t recall ever noticing this for any other wrestler.

I have no verification of this, but Brower was getting involved in White Supremacy groups around this time. Maybe the Vinces thought it best for him to be a quiet member of the roster.

Brower finished his career as a manager for Indy groups in and around his native Delaware. He used to pass out pamphlets before and after the matches that addressed "the race problem". Pathetic and sad.

for the note he would still sometimes be mentioned in the local voiceover promos, like; "Also appearing in Sister Mary Margaret of the Blind Grammar School, Bulldog Brower."
