I'll reserve my comments because I've just watched his shoot interview.

What do you guys think?  Hall of Fame or just another guy?

Just another guy and I like Al. I thought he was at his best in SMW with the Simply Sensational gimmick. Al Snow and Head were decent in ECW though he was much better wrestling wise the first time I saw him in ECW 94/95 ish. Wasn't used properly in the WWWFE.

I like Al too..I thought his best work that I saw him was in SMW. Thought he was best as the cocky heel.

On his shoot from 97 there is a match with him vs Sabu in a ladder match pre ECW I think. It was really good.

I really dont think we ever saw what he could really do in ECW or WWF/E.

I found him to be boring. I never even "got" the "head schtick" he did in ECW. The only match I can remember being really impressed with him was vs Chris Benoit at the ECW Arena.

Not HOF, he just didn't have the feuds or the work to even be considered, IMO.

But, his work in SMW was top notch for a small southern indy.  He was an awesome promo against the RnR Express, especially.

Not even close near the hall of fame. Still, had some good moments. But way too many putrid ones, too.

"Hell In A Kennel" comes to mind.

Just another guy. He was tremendous from '94-'97 and became complacent after the Head gimmick got over. Normally, there would be nothing wrong with that, but the Head gimmick wasn't nearly over enough in the WWF to justify it once his ECW run ended.

I thought he was at his best as the pothead jobber getting the shit kicked out of him in Poffo's ICW.

As far as a Hall Of Fame ~ yeah sure I mean as long as he pays the entrance fee like I do to go in and walk around he can be allowed in.

I thought he was excellent.  He could do the aerial, extreme, serious, comic or scientific stuff.  His problem was the name.  Al Snow sounds like an accountant in his fifties in a bad sitcom.  Even Alan Snow would have been better.

He had a brief run as a heel Leif Cassidy where he seemed to detest his gimmick and not being taken seriously and that should have been taken further IMO - but I can't remember what happened, did he get sacked or leave?

Neither, as far as I recall, he just got loaned out to ECW, which is where Heyman came up with the "Head" gimmick.

Good worker in the early-mid 1990's -  that's about it.

A solid and dependable worker.  Good in the ring and OK on the mic.  Nothing special, but in the years of Sports Entertainment, middle-of-the-road became good (Snow).

He is a guy who did his job well, but would never have been considered a standout in any era.
