From PWInsider: During the Raw taping last night, there were off and on CM Punk chants, specifically when Batista was in front of the audience and at the start of the show. During a commercial break, the Punk chants broke out during Dean Ambrose vs. Mark Henry. Seth Rollins grabbed the ring mic and asked, "CM who?" before putting Ambrose over on the mic to get heat for The Shield. The scene actually aired on the WWE App and can be viewed on WWE's website at this link. Several readers sent along the following link to a Youtube video that was pulled from WWE's Raw production feed last night before Raw went on the air. During the feed, Michael Cole, JBL and Jerry Lawler comment on the CM Punk chants in the Staples Center. Cole remarks "Just go away" in response. Lawler notes that the chants don't last long in a joking way, which leads to JBL commenting there wasn't much conviction in the chant. You can see the video, at least until WWE has it yanked at this link.

When was the last time something was accidentally put up like this? I don't think this was a mistake. I think it was a message. A middle finger to Punk.

The first was clearly on purpose. They know when they're on commercial (meaning only the WWE App will get it) and no way Rollins does that on his own. He was told to. The second is probably an accident. That stuff gets out periodically, just pre-show chatter among the announcers that makes it into the ether and some fan posts.

If it's a work, and I don't think his walking out was a shoot. But if things were smoothed over it could be part of the work. That could play into the whole Punk vs authority gimmick.

There are lots of ways to get to Mania, but if the end results yield that somehow I could see a returning heel Punk against Bryan as champion, and a three-way involving Orton, HHH and Batista with Flair tied into it, I'd get my fill of nostalgia and clever booking. Others can debate my illogic and put up barriers of absolutes as to why it can't happen.
