First up, Kerry von Erich vs. a young jobber named Al Snow.  About a dozen others are up too.

So the almighty "Chase Ballroom" was essentially a TV studio.

Who owns the St. Louis footage? Vince or Larry Matysik.

Wrestling at the Chase is owned by Larry Matysik...and Patera wasn't a face-  that is a heel vs. heel tag match

heel vs. heel and face vs. face were common in St. Louis

I would recommend the 12 disc Wrestling at the Chase set to EVERYONE who doesn't have it-  one of the best old school collections EVAH!!

Matysik owns it because KPLR gave him the rights for free. Seriously.

well...he WAS the number two man under Sam Muchnick for years and he was close to the Muchnick family so I think THEY gave it to him.  And deservedly so, he was a great announcer and host. and booker too I think.

He even made sort of a run with his own promotion after quitting the NWA and KPLR but that's another (depressing) story.

KPLR owned the Chase shows. They gave the rights to Matysik. This info came from a friend of Larry's.

Presumably he already owned the rights to his outlaw's shows.

I wonder what Big J thinks of Matysick's voice if he thought Josh Matthews was too squeaky.  That guy annoys the hell out of me.

I remember seeing a bunch of currently unreleased stuff on Charles Warburton's old website. I'm not talking about the stuff that's on the 12 DVDs released by Larry through Highspots. Did anyone ever get these unreleased segments on DVD through Charles? Anyone still in touch with him?

I wonder if Vince got Larry's permission to show that liitle clip of the David Von Erich/Harley Race match on The Most Powerful Families In Wrestling dvd. I think that was the match that cemented DVE as a main eventer outside of Texas.

Not originally.  When Joe Garagiola was doing the play-by-play on the show, they actually DID tape from the Khourian Room of the Chase.  It was unique.  All these people dressed in evening clothes at tables, eating dinner and drinking while in the center of the dining room there was a wrestling show.

By the time Larry came on board, they had moved it to a TV studio, but kept the original name.

I dont think he need his permission on this because it must of been shown on Texas tv at some point because it was on the Von Erich VHS that the Von Erichs put out in the 80's
