John Northwood writes in asks

With Carlos Colon's HOF induction I became curious about his career and Caribbean wrestling in general, but the internet seems devoid of information about him or any of the other WWC wrestlers. Do you have record books for Colon, Jack Veneno, etc. available?
Regards,

John

I don't have much at all on Puerto Rico and other places the WWC ran. Matt Farmer might. I've seen lineups from newspaper clippings but not much in the way of actual results. We need to find a native Puerto Rican historian. I used to know a guy named Manuel but have lost touch with him.

I fear everybody not from PR is likely not to have any means to gather results.

What ever happened to 'Sir' Peter Snow from KM?

Invite him over here at S&W, if someone can get a hold of him. I haven't seen him around for a couple years though.

Bottomless Jack knows a bit about WWC. He also has quite a bit of video footage from that territory too.

Really what I have came from Tom Burke or Bunkhouse, or Vance Nevada. Also got some by going through videos and getting line ups when they advertised.

Been doing some digging, but my recommendation is if you know anyone that has access to the Newspaper El Mundo. I know a few libraries in Florida carry it on microfilm, and it cover wrestling with line ups and brief results.

if I found access I would do the work but no luck yet.

Throughout the 90's and early 2000's I corresponded daily with someone who worked much of the 1980's inside the WWC, both backstage and in random masks as enhancement when the time called for it. He moved to the states, Florida to be exact, and began work as a customs agent by the mid to late 1990's... He supplied me with an insane amount of WWC information covering pieces of the 70,s much of the 80's, and well into the early to mid 90's... I've gathered hundreds of news clippings, advertisements, results and video footage with his help.

Colon spent some time in the states during the 70's up in the NY/Jersey area, as well as trips to Einhorn's IWA and otherwise. In between he spent much of his time with his Capital Sports Promotions in Puerto Rico. I could put something together that would be fairly accurate for WWC results in general for much of 1978ish through maybe 1992, but it'd be quite a task.

I'm not against doing it, just don't expect immediate results.

As for Peter Snow on KM... After speaking with him repeatedly, I really gathered that he had very little education on the territory outside of watching the videos I released and using Google. He would basically talk about that stuff like he lived through it, but never mentioned anything that was unrelated to the footage that was already out there. The guy did have the knack to translate the interviews better than I could, but hey I'm not Hispanic. But outside of what was out there to view, he really had little info .

I noticed that Kris Zellner posted quite a number of 80s cards at wideworldwrestling.proboards.com.

By the way, could you do a breakdown of the (Super) Medicos? It seems to me that there must have been numerous versions (the Estrada clan, Johnny Rodz, Don Kent, apparently a JC Dykes team in 1976 and maybe more). Jose Estrada and Rodz were too often wrestling for the WWF so there should be even more people.
