Finally the NBA playoff match ups are set

Kurt Helin

Apr 16, 2014, 11:00 PM EDT

It came down to overtime in Memphis, and it good a game winning dunk from your future MVP Kevin Durant, but finally the playoff match ups are set in the NBA playoffs.

This is going to be fun.

Here they are (when we have the schedules for the series we will pass those along):

EASTERN CONFERENCE

1. Indiana Pacers vs. 8. Atlanta Hawks
2. Miami Heat vs. 7. Charlotte Bobcats
3. Toronto Raptors vs. 6. Brooklyn Nets
4. Chicago Bulls vs. 5. Washington Wizards

The Nets lost two games in two nights and suddenly end up with the Raptors instead of the Bulls. Decide for yourself if that’s coincidence.

WESTERN CONFERENCE

1. San Antonio Spurs vs. 8. Dallas Mavericks
2. Oklahoma City Thunder vs. 7. Memphis Grizzlies
3. Los Angeles Clippers vs. 6. Golden State Warriors
4. Houston Rockets vs. 5. Portland Trail Blazers

Oklahoma City cannot be happy to see Memphis in the first round. Sure the Thunder likely win that series, but they are going to play five or more very physical games to do it. They will get banged up then likely see the Clippers.

Yeah, the Nets tanked it on purpose and who can blame them? Smart move.

Hoping the Bobcats can at least pull off one win again the Heat, I think they can, they're playing great team basketball right now..

hey guys, any advice to a non-NBA fan, but bad gambler (me)? Entering a bracket pool today. Any upsets in the first round? I have to fill out the entire bracket and will take San Antone to win. Will take Brooklyn against the Craptors...but thats all I know.
Any ideas? Thanks!

The Grizzlies COULD take out OKC, that's a big "could" but it could happen. Is Houston losing considering they are a #4 an upset? Because that could happen..

I wouldn't be shocked if the Hawks take out the Pacers, the Nets take out the Raptors and the Wizards take out the Bulls. Not saying those things will happen...

Bobcats, thank God that name is almost gone, can win one I feel confident. If they win two, thats like a championship from where they have come. Making it this far and playing as well as they are with no real stopper in the middle and MKG's shooting woes....awesome. As Jo said, real team basketball is refreshing to see

Clippers open well against OKC. Chris Paul took over the game and DeAndre Jordan looking just a bit like the second coming of Moses Malone. Hope springs eternal in LA....

2 out of 3 happened. The other series went 7 games. Amazing playoffs so far. Still can't tell ya which team the Heat will play for the title.

Pacers beat Wizards to even the series at one. Hibbert played great.

The NBA has fined Los Angeles Clippers coach Doc Rivers $25,000 on Thursday for his postgame rant against the officials following the team's Game 5 loss on Tuesday.

Rivers said the Clippers were "robbed" of the victory after a call went in favor of the Oklahoma City Thunder with 11.3 seconds left a "series-defining play."

On Wednesday, the NBA defended the outcome of the fourth-quarter play, when it appeared the ball went out of bounds off Reggie Jackson but the Thunder were awarded possession by the referees after video review.

The Thunder won the game, 105-104, and hold a 3-2 edge in the best-of-7 series. Game 6 is Thursday night.
