WWE Hall Of Famer Abdullah The Butcher (Lawrence Robert “Larry” Shreve) is asking fans for help.
The veteran pro wrestling legend is asking for assistance from fans with donations after being sued by a wrestling promoter in Canada.

This cheap bastard, who supposedly made a fortune and popped every territory he ever worked and never spent a dime for 60 years now claims he doesn't have enough money to fight a lawsuit from a wrestling promoter, who likely isn't exactly a billionaire himself?  Not buying it.  I don't even understand the lawsuit.

Someone ask him if our donation is tax deductible.

Unable to work because of his condition? He's a morbidly obese 74 year old. He managed to get people to pay him to 'rassle past his 70th birthday. What more could he possibly want from the business?

It's better than begging folks for shower curtains for a housewarming that they'd never see though.

Hello,

I'm a member of a wrestling message board which has been discussing your predicament. Before any of us reach into our pockets, we were wondering if we could have some clarification, please?

1. You're famous in wrestling circles for not spending money on the road, and have been well-paid by many different promoters down the years. This would indicate to us that you should have plenty of money for fighting lawsuits. Why is this not the case?

2. Why are you being sued? Did you miss a date? Did you return any booking fees given for the missing dates, and how much notice did you give the promoter that you wouldn't be able to attend?

3. Why are you unable to just attend the courthouse and answer the questions set to you, without needing our money? If you're in the right, then why do you require expensive legal representation at this extremely early stage?

Thank you for reading, and we look forward to be able to help you out soon, as we've been entertained by your matches down the years.

F Mortimer

That bastards got more money squirrled away than most of us no doubt. He got out of this business in way, way better shape than 99% of his peers no doubt about it.

He just sees others making a bit of money out of working the marks in this new "information age" & he just wants his cut.

No doubt in my mind that if he had ever worked for the WWWF/WWF, he would have been right there with the others like Billy Jack Haynes in filling these lawsuits against them for wear & tear on the body.

Plus, he and Brody got all of that money from Sheik Adnan Al-Kaissie for turning on Blackwell.  Fuck this guy.

LOL. Adnan had some tax case years ago where it was disclosed his annual AWA salary was like $55000.

He stuck so many coins in the vertical scars on his head over the years, he probably gets red flagged by TSA for hoarding about $475 in nickels in that piggybank. No wonder he can't travel to the trial.

Shit, that's some good coin he made yearly back in the 80's for the workload he had in the AWA.

I wonder what Adnan made in '91 during that run on top managing Slaughter?
