Can't say I'm at all surprised. Listening to Flair's podcast, it's pretty clear that the guy is a semi-functional alcoholic, to the point that it was obvious that he was hammered in some of the earliest podcasts. Dude needs some help. |

pwinsider.com We have received a lot of emails regarding WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair being allegedly arrested this morning at Logan Airport in Boston, MA following photos of Flair being tended to by TSA authorities and medical personnel began making the rounds on social media. Flair was not arrested at any point, but was held off his morning flight. We are told by one source that prior to the photos making the rounds, Flair slipped over his luggage at the gate and hit his head, which is why, according to the source, he was being checked out by medical personnel. We are also told that while Flair was not put under arrest, he was not allowed on his initial flight due to his condition. There are other stories going around about his condition (and while I have no way to confirm them, I am sure these stories will not shock anyone who knows of Flair's penchant for being the "Nature Boy" on the road) and that his behavior at the airport led up to the entire situation. I can however, confirm that at no point, was Flair taken into custody or arrested and that he is currently in the airport waiting for a later flight home to Atlanta, GA. |

Really bad timing as Charlotte vs. Nattie is supposed to take place on Sunday with Flair and Bret as the cornermen. Bret JUST gave an interview yesterday basically saying that he'd rather get his teeth pulled than appear at this PPV, but he's doing it because it's good for Nattie's career. And now I have to wonder if Flair will be on the PPV, or how much longer WWE can take the risk of him embarrassing them on the road. You put up with that to a certain extent from a World champion, but not so much now that he's a glorified valet for his daughter. |

TMZ is now saying that Flair cut his hand and was not drunk. from tmz.com:  Ric Flair was treated for a cut on his hand at Logan International Airport in Boston Wednesday morning ... but witnesses say it was the culmination of a very bizarre morning involving the WWE legend. Here's what we know ... Flair hit up Lucky's Lounge in the airport before his flight -- and multiple witnesses say Flair was acting like a drunk person. One witness says Flair was loud and obnoxious. Another witness says he was "having a tough time" and "shambling about."  But we spoke with Airport Police Sgt. Donlon who tells us Flair was NOT intoxicated. Sgt. Donlon says airport officials got a call for a "man with a cut on his hand" -- and police and medical personnel responded. Flair was treated -- deemed not drunk -- and was allowed to get on his flight. We spoke with Flair's rep who told us Ric is fine -- and made his flight. As for how Flair injured his hand -- we're working on it. UPDATE - 9:43 AM Pacific Ric's agent, Melinda Morris Zanoni, tells us she has spoken with Flair and issued the following statement: "Ric has been working every day around the clock, including internationally, for a month straight and has injuries on his hand that were being looked into this morning." "While it is true Ric Flair and his buddies have been keeping airport bars in business since the 70s that was not the case at all in Boston. I just hung up with Ric, he is already on the flight and all is good." |

I think it's just as likely that this story was blown out of proportion as it is that there's a "Nature Boy" fan amongst the Boston PD trying to protect him. |
