Eadie was great in this role. He was an intelligent heel and he was also a surprisingly good babyface. He was always a top notch worker, who never got a run with a real major singles championship for some reason.

No. The Sensational Intelligent Destroyer is.

I would put Superstar 3rd behind Destroyer and Vader

I love The Destroyer, but The Gladiator is still number one.

- The Destroyer
- Masked Superstar
- Mr. Wrestling II(virtual tie with Eadie)
- The Spoiler(Jardine)
- The Assassin 1(Jody Hamilton)-The Grappler(Len Denton)
What Vader wore I consider more as head gear than mask or he would be 2nd probably.

Mr. America trumps them all.

Mr. Wrestling (Tim Woods)
Beyer (Destroyer or Dr. X)
Jardine (Super Destroyer or The Spoiler)
Eadie
Wrestling II
The Assassin (Hamilton)
All top picks that would be hard to choose just one.

I'm kinda partial to the Galactic Grappler, imo. He has a funny ring announcement, his weight is in something other than pounds or kilos, and he is from some strange place, the name escapes me at the moment.
For me, the odder, the better!

I always thought II was somewhat overrated and borderline silly during his last few years. Last edited on Thu Aug 25th, 2016 11:43 pm by Papa Voo |

Initially, Vader's mask was indeed a mask, then it involved to the red strapped headgear that would always come off if the match was anything more than a squash.
As a side note to that, his mask vs. mask match in WWF against Kane was one of the most ridiculous angles ever. Vader lost, but we all knew what he looked like, he'd already been 'unmasked' in previous matches in WWE, as that headgear would always end up coming off. To make matters worse, although he did unmask after the match, the mask was back on for the rest of his run.

Surprising there are only about ten US-based masked wrestlers with any kind of success

He was head booker for Mike Lebell taking over from Mr. Moto in 1973 where he had a great year. Personally I kind of lump in both of Beyer's masked men together and would pile on Dr. X right in with the Destroyer which would give him about three more great years as a top heel in the AWA.
