I only saw the clip where he refuses to take a question from someone (I think CNN) because they're "fake news". I mean, this is just not the way to begin the healing. He can't sustain this kind of combative attitude for 4 years. He'll drop dead of a heart attack by that point even if he's not assassinated. The job is hard enough.

I watched a good bit and never saw the press clap for anything even though I heard the applause at times.

It is at least partially an intentional tactic - keep about 30% of the public riled up against the media and only trusting DT's words... rather than saying "be careful what you read" .... it cultivates a core loyal base. A form of populism. DT has and will always use the media when it suits him, as he has done for 35 yrs. He used to adopt personas and call local newspapers' sports reporters trying to generate publicity for the NJ Generals. I do not look at this current path as dishonest. It is opportunistic. When a member of the media gets called out, they are forced to respond. Publicity arises. This was how a candidate self funding during the primary season got the most exposure for the least $$$. So, it has now evolved one step. It's interesting to watch.......

I did laugh at his "fake news" stuff. Of course, they used that to great effect but I guess that doesn't matter. Not corroborated does not mean not true. I doubt they will ever prove anything. Chuck Todd tore the guy from Buzzfeed a new ahole last night.

CNN, as reported by Fox News of all people, did not report the specifics of that story. It is ironic that Trump now gets on the fake news stuff. Of course, you probably believed every word that confirms what you think. I tend to think both sides are full of shit until proven otherwise. Having some knowledge of this type of stuff, the sourcing for the document buzz feed ran is extremely thin. That is why the major press outlets had not published it. Buzz Feed's Ben Smith decided to run with it because it was "already out there". He appeared on Chuck Todd's show (who you probably reflexively hate) and was ripped a new Ahole for publishing something where the truth could not be properly ascertained. OK, that is the end of the facts segment for this particular thread. Now, BT can go back to whatever.
