Snoop Dogg will appear on the first Dynamite of 2021, and Meltzer is reporting that there is MAJOR heat on him in WWE. WWE just unrolled a huge merch campaign that involved Snoop Dogg's license in conjunction with Undertaker and Sasha Banks merch, and they were big sellers during their Black Friday sale. There were talks to bring in Snoop in 2021 to continue to promote this partnership. The ink is barely dry on the deal and now Snoop is going to AEW. WWE has canceled other celebrity appearances, like Kevin Smith's, because they did AEW, but on this one they're in a quandary. You just know Snoop doesn't give a shit about any of this and probably thinks it's hilarious. But I wonder if Sasha won't start going through tables every week now.

No kidding. I do like the guy too, but he is his fathers son for sure.

The Dusty definitely comes out in him more and more every week.  I think his booking has been fine for the most part, but he's getting involved in a bit too much lately between Shaq and Sting that he really doesn't need to be involved in, and I can see him turning into HHH if he's not careful.

When did they add that big gate on the entrance just for Cody?

How do AEW manage to keep the spoilers out of the news? I don't explicitly go looking for them, but the Observer have the results for Friday's Smackdown as headline articles on their site, while AEW have been taping every second Dynamite in front of a few hundred fans, and nothing has been leaked apart from the "mole" story a few months ago.

I'm not sure if they ask fans to keep quiet or sign an NDA or something, which is more realistic with only a few diehard fans rather than thousands.  I do think the fans that go take this seriously and genuinely care about the company and don't want to hurt it, something that would just be bizarre to say about a WWE fan, who generally go just to chant the opposite of what Vince wants them to chant.

Wednesday night's edition of AEW Dynamite featured a show-long tribute to the late Jon Huber (Brodie Lee). According to a report from the Pro Wrestling Torch, the show drew 977,000 viewers on the night, which was a large increase over what the show drew one week earlier (775,000). The number was also significantly higher than the viewership that WWE NXT drew over on the USA Network head to head (586,000). Due to the nature of the show, AEW was expected to win the viewership battle on the night in dramatic fashion.

In the coveted 18-49 age group ratings demographic, AEW Dynamite drew a 0.40 rating, which was up from the 0.32 the broadcast last week did. NXT did a 0.12 rating in this demo.

AEW with an amazing video package looking back at the Year In Review. I hope they put this on TV. AEW looks so big league here compared to the competition.

It's clearly obvious at this point he has a huge bias towards AEW and a man-crush on Tony Khan...With Tony also having one with Dave.

Another outstanding show last night. We basically now have AEW, Impact, New Japan, AAA and whatever is left of the NWA all working together, at least loosely. Literally years worth of stories and fresh matches. But hey, Goldberg is back...

EDIT: When I wrote this, I had totally forgotten about the Shida-Abadon match. I really don't like the Abadon gimmick, but the main event was so good, that she was completely washed from my mind temporarily. Yes, the Snoop Dogg splash was also terrible, but the rest of the show was so, so good.

I actually watched the full Omega vs Fenix main event because I was getting bored with the insurrection coverage. It was solid...plus a nice run in at the end I wasn't expecting.

Let's not get carried away that NJPW is in any way part of this.  They've been pretty bitter about the way most of these guys left after their last Tokyo Dome show for 2 years now.  It's just another Bullet Club call-back, no different from AJ Styles and the Good Brothers doing it in WWE.  It's amazing how much mileage so many different companies have gotten out of this one group, and more amazing that NJPW has completely lost control of it and haven't benefited from any of it.  The real Bullet Club currently in NJPW doesn't have any buzz around it anymore and almost no one could tell you who the members are right now.
