The best example of this concept is the social media companies doing the government's bidding in clearing the public space of bad-think.  But here's another example of what's coming faster than you can imagine.  Bank of America has allegedly combed through the purchase records of its customers in search of anyone who used the card in the vicinity of Washington DC during the Epiphany Uprising.  They then handed that information over to the FBI for follow-up.

But Trump and his mean tweets!!  Well, he's off the stage now and the underlying causes that brought him to office are not going away.  In fact, our rulers are going to turn the screws even tighter.  It was only months ago that normal people looked at China's social credit scheme and thanked our lucky stars that we didn't have a comparable lack of privacy.  The current administration is going to change that so fast your head is going to spin.  And when the next Patriot Act comes along, directed at domestic terrorism -- read: white men who won't grab their ankles -- every last corporation will lend its support to its enforcement.

I love how people are just discovering this type of stuff in the wake of these Trum goons getting hunted down.  Welcome to the drug war, the sex trafficking sham, and every other excuse that law enforcement has used to do the same thing for the past 50 years.  I've been talking about this forever,  odd how certain types never seemed to care before.  Any attempts to thwart this has been shot down viciously by Republicans, with a lot of liberal support too, in the name of law and order.  If you have nothing to hide you have nothing to fear!  Back the Blue!

Yep.  Same with the cancel culture.  Trumpers only bitch when it affects them negatively.

I bet KGB will love Reason now. Again, I'm always 100% consistent. We know you're not.  So leave these posts to me because you sound like a clown when you suddenly care about stuff I've been ranting about since I was 16.

Is "Epiphany Uprising" a real name thing now, or did KGB create it for use here?

Serious question.

Serious question.

It was a real rebellion centuries ago in England (that didn't work), but I've never heard it associated with this until now.  I am not going on a QAnon message board to see if that's what they're calling it though.  I don't want the Fed scum who are tracking my online activities to think I've become a Trumper instead of an anarcho-capitalist after all these years.  It will break their hearts.

Reason Magazine (cue clown horn sounds), eh?  Nah, I'm not on board with voodoo for suburban white boys.  That doesn't mean they don't get anything right, but what, pray, do they, or any libertarian, actually accomplish?

I know it's Friday, but can I safely guess you're hitting the bottle early today?  We can always tell when you start fapping to your own intellect.

Stone cold sober, but it's easy to be intellectually superior to your embarrassing and hypocritical drivel.  You don't even believe any of it at this point, but you have a reputation to uphold.

Rossi speaks the truth.  Dumbass Trumpers are acting like this shit is new.  Now that it targets someone other than minorities and foreigners it's bad.

I'm sure this is completely harmless and has been going on for a long time.  Congress has summoned cable service providers and others to testify on what they did and didn't do to promote the Uniparty's election narrative.

Now, a congressional committee has scheduled a hearing to focus on the role of companies that provide cable television service in the spread of falsehoods concerning the 2020 election.

In advance of the Wednesday hearing, called “Fanning the Flames: Disinformation and Extremism in the Media,” members of the House Energy and Commerce Committee sent a letter on Monday to Comcast, AT&T, Spectrum, Dish, Verizon, Cox and Altice, asking about their role in “the spread of dangerous misinformation.”

The committee members also sent the letter to Roku, Amazon, Apple, Google and Hulu, digital companies that distribute cable programming.

Questions that our rulers want answered include:

“What steps did you take prior to, on, and following the November 3, 2020 elections and the January 6, 2021 attacks to monitor, respond to, and reduce the spread of disinformation, including encouragement or incitement of violence by channels your company disseminates to millions of Americans?”

“Are you planning to continue carrying Fox News, OANN, and Newsmax on your platform both now and beyond the renewal date?  If so, why?”

And it sounds like a ministry of truth could be in the offing.

Blair Levin, who served as the F.C.C.’s chief of staff under President Bill Clinton, said a hearing could be a first step toward meaningful action. “You have to establish a factual record that on both the election and Covid, tens of millions of Americans believe things that are just factually not true, and then try to figure out: ‘What are the appropriate roles for the government in changing that dynamic?’” Mr. Levin said.

Don't worry, if you're woke enough, they'll eat you last.

Is Time magazine going to be asked to speak about election fortification at this hearing? They wrote an entire article about it after all.
