It seems like I can finally pause a live PPV on Peacock. Welcome back to the 21st century, WWE.

WWE has released a 35-minute documentary about 9/11 on Peacock called "Never Forget". This is the first new documentary that has come out in months, while others in the can are still being held hostage. And you don't even need Peacock to see it, because WWE also put it on their YouTube channel for free. I'm really no longer seeing the point of subscribing.

Now that the number of subscribers is no longer their problem, all they have to produce is the bare minimum that their contract with Peacock asks for. Do they still have the new ICW and WXW shows on Peacock? I remember that people were always interested in indie wrestling on the WWE Network, then when it was added, no one ever talked about it, and I never saw any reports on the shows. I think I'm right that there was new ICW content at least being added at some point.

Let me throw this out there for all you technology buffs out there. I have hardly streamed anything through my TV. I have never had the WWE so I tried watching some things since Peacock is free with my Comcast subscription. I have NEVER experienced a more cumbersome thing to navigate. When I try going into different programs and searching through episodes, the network times out and kicks me out of the whole Peacock network app. When I begin watching something, things seem to work well. But, if ai try to fast forward or rewind….Wow! Sometimes it will fast forward or rewind through the whole program. In this day and age, this is the best they can do or is this just the way streaming works?

I haven’t noticed some of those particular problems using Peacock on Roku or online, but it’s an awful platform, light years behind Netflix, Disney, Hulu and all the others. It’s unthinkable that NBC couldn’t do better, and haven’t been able to figure it out after 2 years.

Now I'm guessing they'll show the Luger Icons around WrestleMania because they're going to put him in the Hall of Fame. Also waiting on the Vladimir doc.

I had similar issues when I first got Peacock via the X-1 Flex device (Peacock wasn't available for Roku at that time). The WWE Network shows streaming on the Flex would skip, freeze, glitch...all kinds of issues. I disconnected the Flex and gave up on the WWE Network. Now that Peacock is available to stream via my Roku device (Sharp Smart TV), I haven't had any issues. ** Note: Do not buy a TCL Smart TV (often advertised by Best Buy). It sporadically reboots, freezes, audio gets out of sync with video, etc. Spend the extra money and get a different brand **

However the fucker freezes up on Netflix, Hulu, and Disney+ all the time, the channels my wife watches all the time...then the TV reboots and it's fine. The problem I believe is that the RAM gets overloaded and then reboots. What should happen is every time you shut the TV off, when you turn it on it should reboot, but it doesn't do that because people bitch if it takes 20 seconds for the TV to start up, so the only way to reboot is to manually do it from settings. My suggestion, especially if you want to watch something good and not deal with this, is find your reboot setting. Then go to your TV about ten minutes prior to you wanting to watch, reboot it, then load the app and give yourself five minutes to get everything right. You should have no problem. It's a ballbuster, because this SHOULD NOT HAPPEN except for once in a long while, but for me it's almost an every day occurrence just like it is for you.Papa Voo wrote:Let me throw this out there for all you technology buffs out there.

HBO was showing the MSG cards in the early '70s as well. You know they have more old in the vault somewhere, my thought is that the media that it's stored on hasn't been converted since it's probably on 2" tape and they don't have a working machine - just a guess.MSG Shows have been addedI was quite disappointed when I saw this. The only things that haven't been seen are maybe some 8mm stuff in grandpa's musty basement. Then some things started to pop up that were pro shot like Morales vs. Stasiak 53 minute match at MSG as well as Pete's first title defense at the Garden against Blackjack Mulligan. So I thought maybe I should reevaluate my thoughts on this. There may be a match or two or three buried in there. But I don't think we'll ever see say a full MSG card from Bruno's first reign. Even something amazing from the Boston Garden like Morales vs. The Sheik or Bruno against Ray Stevens or Moondog Mayne. Eh, if wishes were horses.....bpickering wrote:You were hoping for a miracle. You kow one thing I don't think I've ever mentioned about the WWF from that time frame is how smart Vince was to forbid the acronym "WWF" from being used during broadcasts (at least it seems like he forbid it). Everything is "World Wrestling Federation". Considering this was before the World Wildlife Fund thing gained steam it seems fortuitous that he did this since so much more verbage would have had to have been altered or edited on all the shows later on. I may be giving him too much credit, perhaps it was just brand reinforcement on his part with the move to go national. Would have to re-check the pre-184 stuff to see if it was true even back then. Either way it worked out for him from the editing and altering standpoint later on.
