VICE TV's Dark Side of the Ring returns later this year with the following shows, as revealed by interviews already being conducted with talent by the producers. Looks like another good season. Some of these are beginning to get a lot less mainstream as they run out of really famous subjects like Owen Hart and Randy Savage, which may effect ratings but is good for hardcore fans. *Brian Pillman *XPW *WCW-New Japan supershow in North Korea *The Smith family - Grizzly Smith, Jake Roberts, Sam Houston and Rockin' Robin *Dynamite Kid *WWE's "Plane Ride from Hell" *Nick Gage *FMW *Bruiser Bedlam/Johnny K-9 *Chris Kanyon *More may be added

I give credit to the producers if they are researching an individual case for the perspectives of those who are qualified to comment and not just consulting the talking heads of the industry. The pundits who make the rounds of every podcast are good if they can provide a summary in a few brief spots and maybe help promote the episodes on a trailer, and getting their footage might amount to barraging them with multiple topics to get maximum return. But some projects in development may need more time to finish, and if you think they are low on seedy topics within wrestling, there is ample underbelly from which to probe yet.

K9 alone is a fascinating story, and I know that from personal experience. He never broke through nationally in the US, but so what? Watch and learn.

I'm actually looking forward to that one as well as the Smith family and Chris Kanyon though if I learn anything new from any of these then it's worthwhile.

We will see if ratings don’t take a significant tumble after this season. I hope they don’t, but with this line-up it would not surprise me.

I'm personally looking more forward to it than hearing the same stories I've heard a million times before. They do a great job putting these together but there's only so many times you can hear about Owen or Benoit or Brody.

So I think it'll be ok, as long as the shows are still interesting.
