I hope this is boring

I expect the plaintiff to go with layup that everyone has seen, the video.

Cops counter with a defense that tries to cast doubt and muddy the waters?

There's no way they get convicted, as usual. And there will be riots when the inevitable happens, again.

If you watch entire video it becomes difficult to see a conviction happening. These cops are going to skate

Bodycam footage of the entire incident. This paints such a different picture of what the media narrative is.

Not sure what my take on this is.  On one hand the case is an absolute joke as the body cam footage makes it obvious that George Floyd happened to die of an overdose while in police custody.  If the scales of justice are truly blind, this case ends quickly with an acquittal.  On the other hand, we have to assume that Chauvin is a typical big city cop.  We have to assume that if he was told to go club a senior citizen for not wearing a mask in a city park, or if he was told to stand down as BLM or antifa were attacking a white person, he'd think about his pension and then dutifully follow orders.

If there's an acquittal we surely see another round of chimp outs.  And I can see the positives in that.  There will be a blood-thirsty mob outside that courthouse during this entire farce.  And in the event that Chauvin gets off, this mob will tear things down violently in the Twin Cities and across America.  This will ideally open many more eyes to the untenable nature of our current arrangements.  Excuses will be made for every bit of property destroyed and every person assaulted or killed.  And sooner or later, people have to see that "muh Constitution!" isn't going to save them from open season on white people.  It's difficult to accept that fact; to accept that the country of 30 years ago is gone and is never coming back.  It's even more difficult to accept that we now live under Jim Snow.  But that acceptance needs to happen.

If Chauvin is jailed I'm not going to shed any tears for him.  Maybe he's actually a nice guy, I don't know, but having a single cop get railroaded isn't going to tip the scales much at all.  And in theory, having the case decided on blatantly race-appeasing terms would also open eyes that we have a two-tiered society now.  If you're one of the cloud people, you're living the dream.  And if you're one of their pets, you're untouchable.  If, however, you're a bitter clinger, a deplorable, or, *shudder*, a straight, white male, well, fuck you.  We're witnessing a top down revolution right now.  Instead of the people rising up against the ruling class, we have a ruling class that is doing its best to replace the people of the land.  To see Chauvin shuffled off to jail ought to help bring that point home.
