We are allowed to be Couch/Recliner Potato GMs here.

You should see on some of the Steelers forum.

Thou shall not critique the Steelers front office.

There is no room for debate since you are not a member of the Steelers organization.

Ridiculous.  That takes the fun out of everything.

In your opinion, how did your team fare with the Draft?
How would you grade your team?
Things you liked or did not like.
What says you?

For the Stillers, I give them a B- .

They went with Rajee Harris in the First Round. I am for the mind of not drafting a running back in the First Round unless it is a luxury pick.

The Second Round pick of Penn State TE Pat Freiermuth has stirred up the most controversy. The offensive line, specifically left tackle and center, need addressed in a desperate way, and there were two very consistent rock-type centers still on the board, but the Steelers did not pull the trigger on the center position.

After the 2nd Round, they went G/C, OT, ILB, DT, Edge, CB and a 260 lbs. punter.

I liked their 3rd day picks better than the first two.

I still believe Ben should have retired or been forced out. They are not going to win a SB with him so why keep him around for another year? Start your next chapter and see what QBs you have that can come in as the starter. I expect somewhat of a battle between Rudolph and Haskins with Rudolph holding the advantage just due to his years on the team.

The Stillers are definitely in transition, but they should have embraced the change instead of putting it off for another year.

Niners B+

They drafted 2 rbs which they didn't need
Glad they didn't draft Mac Jones.
They needed OL and DBs which they drafted
Wish they could have drafted Azeez Oujulari but the Giants snagged him right before the Niners had a chance to.

17th Overall Selection (R1-P17): Alex Leatherwood, OT, Alabama
43rd Overall Selection (R2-P11): Trevon Moehrig, S, TCU
79th Overall Selection (R3-P16, from Arizona): Malcolm Koonce, EDGE, Buffalo
80th Overall Selection (R3-P17): Divine Deablo, LB/S, Virginia Tech
143rd Overall Selection (R4-P38, compensatory pick): Tyree Gillespie, S, Missouri
167th Overall Selection (R5-R23, from Seattle): Nate Hobbs, CB, Illinois
230th Overall Selection (R7-P2, from N.Y Jets): Jimmy Morrissey, C, Pittsburgh
Really other than Moehrig and maybe Deablo I'm underwhelmed.][size=I'm no scout but IMO they passed up some good players to take outright reaches or projects.]

Giants knocked it out of the park for me.

Once Smith was taken from the Eagles, they outright fleeced the Bears. A first and a fourth for next year from a team likely starting a rookie QB at some point next year.

Took a speedy WR/KR at 20 that Jacksonville was ready ro take at 25.

Got 2 edge rushers.

Got 2 CBs and a RB.

Traded back again in the 3rd rd and got the Dolphins 3rd pick next year. So they addressed needs at 3 or 4 positions and gained a 1st, 3rd, and 4th next year.

I would've liked to draft an OL or 2, but i won't get greedy.

A-

I like the Raiders first four picks. But the first pick was a reach and they could've traded down and still gotten him 10-15 picks later. I love the fact that his wingspan is the size of a Hyundai. But as was said above, he's somewhat of a project, and if they are looking to play him at right guard, you simply don't draft a frontside guard in the first round. They drafted him as a left tackle and he's not projected to thrive as one in the NFL. So you pay him first round money and he sucks early then you don't pick up his fifth year option and he blossoms in year four. This is a recurring theme. So I grade them a C and that's being nice because I still respect Mayock and Gruden unlike Benlen or AA.

Give me seven months and i will be able to tell you....

Draft evaluation and reviews are some of the most BS industry ever created...

I was reading one reviewer who gave the Ravens a B- because the two first round picks have potential to be either really good or a bust... i was reading that like can't that be applied to every first round draft pick ..
None of us have ever watched most of the players selected we just read some scout and we get excited and then gain attachment to players that we have no real clue if they are good or not

I'm still figuring how to pronounce half of the Lions draft picks.

Round 1, Pick 7 — OT Penei Sewell
Round 2, Pick 9 (41) — DT Levi Onwuzurike
Round 3, Pick 8 (72) — DT Alim McNeill
Round 3, Pick 38 (101) — CB Ifeatu Melifonwu
Round 4, Pick 7 (112) — WR Amon-Ra St. Brown
Round 4, Pick 8 (113) — LB Derrick Barnes
Round 7, Pick 30 (257) — RB Jermar Jefferson

We're afraid to say it, but Jerry may have finally got it right, or at least less wrong. We needed defense and we got it. A-

Surtain and Horn both being gone before our pick still stings, but I thought Dallas had a very good draft.

I can help you -  your first round pick is pronounced "major bust".  Your second round pick is pronounced "reach".

There are not too many teams left that a Raiders fan can bust balls with.  Since you are a Lions fan, at least I can look you in the eye.  So hopefully you were able to laugh this off.  Your second pick in the third round is pronounced "who?".

A-Plus you drafted the prerequisite wife beater AND he plays OL.  I know the Cowboys will get a lot of mileage out of him but I can't imagine this ending well.
