I have seen two separate online petitions, which are absolutely meaningless, targeted to put out out a message that Domenic Denucci belongs in the WWE HOF. I think the one that is playing into this is Denucci’s age. He is 89 years old. People want to see him get inducted while he is alive. Denucci should meet the benchmark of being worthy of getting enshrined into the WWE. (Is there really any criteria?) I have not seen any other wrestler get this sort of online push. Bruno was always mentioned but many thought he did not want to be inducted. Does Denucci deserve to be inducted? Will Denucci be inducted? Do you remember any other wrestlers getting online pushes for enshrinement?

Dom wrestled globally prior to settling into the WWWF in the late 60s and definitely meets enough criteria for induction. I think the ship has passed the point of regular hall induction in terms of what they market it as, and a legacy induction is more likely. And if they should make that kind of a selection while he is alive, WWE would get just as much criticism as waiting until afterward. As far as others with petitions and web pages, yes. Davey Boy on his own and the Bulldogs collectively had a groundswell of activity for a while. The marquee value of others offered up for consideration dips down from there, but it doesn't stop fans from their fervent rallying.

He is in the PWHOF started by Tony Vellano. Inducted in 2012. The one that was in Schenectady, NY and now in Wichita Falls, Texas. Based on that alone he more than belongs in Vince's little play toy.

Definitely worthy of WWE Hall of Fame, but then, at this point, who isn't? I was there the year he was inducted into the Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame, and Bruno Sammartino introduced him. It was awesome. It won't be any better at WWE Hall of Fame.

If he ever goes in, it will be in the "Legacy wing" after he dies. Apart from a few GOAT tier people, no one from the pre-WrestleMania era has been inducted, bar the aforementioned Legacy wing. Maybe a few lesser folks have been inducted, but only if they had something (usually a tape library) that WWE wanted. No way an ancient DeNucci is presented to an audience that mostly won't have a clue who he is.

I would think that Vince should think about inducting as many old wrestlers as he can simply to show that pro wrestlers can live to be 90 years old and don't all die in their 30s-50s. I know that over the years the deaths have dropped off dramatically, but there are still a few here and there. Inducting Denucci would not get over with the live crowd but would look very good in the press.

He belongs. Multiple tag team champion when it meant something. DeNucci was also a 'stepping stone' to Backlund/Bruno back when that role was meaningful. Tons of years of service. Not the best 'worker' but a semi-main event attraction.

The WWE Hall of Fame is like those Mattel wrestling figures. If you are good enough to have one made for you, you're in the hall of fame.

Domenic DeNucci contacted me about ten years ago looking for footage from his career. Nice man. Sent me autographed pics, etc. Flipped through them last night. One was a mag called 'Wrestling Stars' with him and Andre on the cover. In this 'mag' there was a mini writeup about 'Dante DeNucci' supposedly Domenic's nephew.

Cody Michaels aka Dante DeNucci is out of the same Pennsylvania indy crew as Lord Zoltan, Baron Donatelli etc but Todd Perri aka Tony DeNucci is a Minnesota guy who started in AWA as it was finishing its TV run. Two different guys.

I have a bunch of material they're working on. I would just send indikator a private message here if you find something about mistaken identities.

Domenic Denucci was before my time so I never saw him, but I remember his son Tony being a jobber in the dying days of AWA.
