Great gimmick but could never bring it in the ring

But his creative mind in AEW will be good use if he wants to continue in wrestling...then again if he was me ... i would just continue busting nuts after nuts in JoJo

WE just announced that they have come to terms on the release of former WWE Champion Bray Wyatt, 34.

The official statement:

WWE has come to terms on the release of Bray Wyatt. We wish him the best in all his future endeavors.

Wyatt has not appeared for the company since Wrestlemania 37 and the word internally had been that he there was a "specific reason" he was not returned and that it was not a creative reason, implying perhaps that Wyatt had not been cleared to perform. Prior to Wrestlemania, he last performed in January 2021.

PWInsider.com is told Wyatt had disappeared from the company's internal roster weeks ago but there had been no official stance on his status with the company.

Wyatt has not commented much on social media in recent months beyond telling the audience he missed them. The grandson of WWE Hall of Famer Blackjack Mulligan and the son of all time great Mike Rotunda, Wyatt, real name Windham Rotunda, had been with WWE since 2009. The Wyatt and Fiend characters would remain under WWE's ownership.

During his time as The Fiend version of the Wyatt character, Bray Wyatt was among the top merchandise movers for the company, specifically in the action figure realm.

Have no idea what WWE is doing. This seems like the Cubs unloading all their talent at the trade deadline, and AEW are the Dodgers picking it all up.  I feel like WWE may sell before the end of the year now.

Meltzer says Wyatt was slated to return in August and is healthy and medically cleared. WWE reportedly told Wyatt his release was strictly a budget cut.  It came as a complete surprise to him.

I dunno. Anyone have a clue what the 'released' are making?

I am sure that collectively it adds up to a big number.

And then look at that list - is it possible they simply aren't paying people they aren't using anymore?

Wondering if anyone has done any true 'analysis'.

This one surprises me. Unless they are paying him a boatload of money.

It's like the Last Days of Rome. They're relying on Cena, Edge, and Goldberg to carry the company through Summerslam. Meanwhile everyone they've made over the last few years is going to AEW.

Yeah, I could see them selling by the end of the year now too.  Looking at the current situation, WWE has demonstrated that they can run a weekly 2 hour show with 10 guys, 10 ladies, and a couple of tag teams (which is the situation on Smackdown).  Looking at what they are doing and how many people are on the bloated Raw roster, they could potentially remove another 15 people cutting costs and they wouldn't miss a beat.  It's not like the bottom 20 on Raw have any impact on the ratings, especially the way things are booked.

Mickie James trolled WWE hard replying to their “future endeavors” post on Wyatt:

“I think what you meant to say was: ‘Thank you so much for coming up with such an incredible gimmick(time & time again)one so cool & over, we really didn’t know how to book it right. So we just gave it to someone else so we can still make ALL the money off of it & let you go’”

There’s apparently more to this story if you read between the lines on a lot of the comments by wrestlers and some of the more woke Twitter fans. I guess Bray Wyatt was going through a “mental health crisis” that’s popular these days and his return to work was more of a mental clearance than a physical one. Some are blaming it on Brodie Lee’s death, although that seems like a stretch. Anyway, Wyatt seemed to not be in the right frame of mind to compete these last few months. He was expected to return at the end of Summerslam or on the show following, but 2 weeks ago he was removed from all plans going forward. Whether Vince just changed his mind or Wyatt suffered a mental health setback is unknown, but something beyond budget cuts is going on.  I guess the “reputable” sites do not want to report anything regarding mental health rumors so they’re not covering this at all.

From what I read here, it seems like the WWE could cause you to have a mental breakdown.
Crazy how bad the product seems.

PWInsider:

Since we have received questions about this stemming from Bray Wyatt's release, Jojo Offerman is no longer with WWE as well. We are told that departure took place quietly 6-8 months ago.

Offerman was part of the original cast of Total Divas in 2013 before shifting into a ring announcing role for the company.

She and Wyatt have been together for several years and have several children together.

There have been a few of these quiet releases behind the scenes. Jeff Jarrett was released in April, and I think that news only came out this past week.
