Sadly that's the last thing people will remember about him. And for people of a certain age it will be the only thing. It was a pathetic display and it made the news everywhere.

Angelo Mosca was before my time, and the only thing I remember about him was that he was on one of the wrestling VHS I once bought (I can't even remember which one it was). The one thing I remember is that it also had a match between Tully Blanchard and Brett Hart (not THE Bret Hart, I don't think...maybe it was Barry Horowitz?)

Mosca was a 4 time Canadian Champ defeating The Iron Shiek, Mr.Fugi, John Studd and Sgt.Slaughter. He had World Title Matches with NWA Champs Ric Flair and Harley Race, WWF Champ Bob Backlund and AWA Champ Nick Bockwinkel. And that was just the 80's. He had a great wrestling career.

I did up a personal piece on my experiences with Mosca through the years.

Some of Mosca's matches from Maple Leaf Gardens are on You tube. Mosca vs Snuka, vs The Iron Shiek, Mosca and Flair vs Iron Shiek and Greg Valentine.

He spent a short time in San Francisco, a month or two. He formed a team with MoonDog Mayne calling themselves the M Squad. A favorite move I liked from them was a double team punch in the head at the same time. They had a falling out during a televise match and the following week wrestled each other with Mosca losing. Good heel vs heel match.

I don't get what the beef was with the Willie Fleming hit. Fleming was down but Angelo had been moving at full speed and obviously couldn't stop on a dime. As has been mentioned in this thread, it's a shame that the first thing people think about when Mosca's name is mentioned is Joe Kapp.

RIP
I enjoyed his work. Had a great look. Looked like a 'King Kong'. Sad to hear in his later years he had sickness. Thank you King Kong.
