So obviously you get your money back if you're in my situation and have tickets to see them at a headlining stadium show. But if you bought tickets to a festival hoping to see them, you're SOL. Welcome to Rockville already announced that they're working on a suitable replacement for them (which is virtually impossible to find) and put a big "TBA" where they were in the headlining slot. No refunds, you just have to hope for the best. I can't imagine who they can get that won't disappoint. The other 3 headliners are GNR, KISS, and Korn.

I was gonna say GNR as a suitable replacement. But they're already there. Very tough to see who they could get.

Foo Fighters was not a must see for us, but it is disappointing and I feel for the band.

Lamb of God would be nice. They are already touring with Megadeth who is already there. I have tickets to that show in April.

Are any of those remotely as big as Foo Fighters? Or are we saying they'll get another act who won't be as big but will do a good job and full out the card, so to speak? I'm not a Foo Fighters fan and maybe I'm overestimating how big they are.

There is no overestimating how big they are. There is no rock band formed in the 21st century who is 1/10 as big. The only regularly touring rock bands on the same level period are the Stones, GNR, and Metallica, and obviously that's a lot more nostalgia. But no, this is a real rock festival, so they will not bring in someone like Florence and the Machine. This isn't some Electric Zoo shit. But what people are missing is that the same company runs most of the 5 or 6 top rock festivals throughout the country, all with a lot of overlap of bands. So there is literally no one even half as big as Foo who are available to fill in at these shows. Even minor bands are either booked if they're already touring this summer, or have no plans to tour this summer and a few dates won't make it worth it and will lose them money to accept.

That's kinda what I was thinking. They are pretty much the biggest rock band in Ireland and UK too, and could headline any festival. And those were the comparative bands I was thinking of but all are quite a bit older than Foo Fighters.
