I've only ever been to two live wrestling shows when I was living in Houston, Texas in 1989, one at the Summit (not long after Royal Rumble) and the other where they had a rodeo show (not sure what the place was called). And BOTH times Andre the Giant was supposed to be there but backed out at the last minute. Last edited on Sat Apr 16th, 2022 04:13 am by Dr. Strangelove |

My first card is so memorable - 40 years ago and I can remember so much of it like it was yesterday - boogie woogie man vs Ivan Koloff in a coal miner glove match. I’ll never forget it. Other than that I would have to say The Big Event. The atmosphere was incredible. The ending to the hogan Orndorff match may have been the worst ending ever, and as a young “smark”, i couldn’t believe they would have scripted such an incredibly stupid finish when they had 70k there. (The ref pats Orndorff three times on the shoulder instead of the mat and Orn believes he won). Anyway, 1986 was such a fun year in the wwf.

Kiel Auditorium August 1986. Harley Race wins much the Muchnick tournament and I'll never forget the pandemonium of Hogan vs Orndorff. I was 9 years old and still a fairly new fan, so it was magic.

Might not be the Greatest event I attended, but at 15 years old, this was awesome. WWWF @ New York City, NY - Madison Square Garden - January 18, 1971 (21,666; new wrestling attendance record) Jean DuBois defeated Joe Turco at 14:06 Vincenti Pometti defeated the Black Demon Manuel Soto defeated Mike Conrad Blackjack Mulligan defeated Jose Rivera at 5:35 Bulldog Brower defeated Tony Marino at 7:19 Pedro Morales defeated the Wolfman at 5:41 Chief Jay Strongbow & Gorilla Monsoon fought WWWF International Tag Team Champions the Mongols to a draw in a Best 2 out of 3 falls match Ivan Koloff pinned WWWF World Champion Bruno Sammartino with a bodyslam and knee drop off the top rope to win the title at 14:55 after kicking the champion in the face as he charged into the corner

I have not been to a lot of live shows but the best would have to be ECW Heat Wave 1998 in Dayton, OH. I also went to Heat Wave PPV the following year in the same arena but the first one was an incredible event to be at live.

Most of the house shows I've been to weren't memorable, but I did go to Summerslam 97 at the Meadowlands. The HHH-Mick Foley cage match, Austin almost getting paralyzed, HBK screwing Taker out of the title. Went to WM 20 when Nobody beat HHH and HBK in a 3 way for the Title. Went to a bunch of shows in 2002. HHHs return in 2002 after the quad injury. Bischoff's 1st Raw in July at the Meadowlands. Also went to SD in Atlantic City that same week after Hogan and Edge won the tag titles. Also saw Summerslam with the HHH-HBK unsanctioned match and Survivor Series 2002 with the 1st Elimination Chamber.

Only been to a few but this was the best... https://www.cagematch.net/?id=1&nr=25000 Also, I was also jealous of my friend who got to go to WCW in 1992 or 1993 and saw a world title change, the only one ever in Ireland as far as I know.

Went to 3 Monday Nitros, from 1997 until 2000. All were, ostensibly, the "Greatest Night in the History of Our Sport". One was the big WCW reset in April (?) 2000 when they vacated all the titles, Russo and Bischoff babbled, and the "Millionaires Club" and "New Blood" factions were begun.
