A few weeks ago i stumbled upon a 6 man from ring of honor’s run on HDnet that was on youtube and was totally blown away. From there i went down a rabbit hole of 09/10 Ring of honor footage including the majority of the HDnet run on Amazon Prime and am struggling to find something I don't like. I wasn't watching any wrestling at that time and was mostly absent from the board around this time so i don't have an idea but was ROH the talk of the boards at this time or was it just another Indy?

ROH was widely considered the 2nd biggest wrestling company in America at this time. It was what every wrestling fan was watching as an alternative to WWE. So yes, it was pretty hot. At the same time, the DVD market was about to dwindle and streaming wasn’t a thing yet in wrestling, so financially they were probably breaking even. But the shows were selling out everywhere and everyone knew how good the product was. Of course there was already nostalgia for the Joe-Punk days and WWE was poaching all their talents, so it was always a struggle to create new stars. They were transitioning into the Davey Richards/Tyler Black/Eddie Edwards years and were using veterans like Jerry Lynn on top too to put them over.

It was pretty crazy to see how hot the crowd was for Lynn at first and how hard they turned on him.

Just watched the KENTA / Danielson / Strong v Wolves / Hero match from HDnet. Not the greatest match ive ever seen but for a tv main event they tore it down.

Watching Buffalo Stampede 2 from 2010 and Claudio looks like a million bucks, dude is jacked and cut to the fucking bone. Hard to believe he has looked that good for so long.

I recently saw an interview with Cary and he said they lost money the entire time he ran the company. Does anyone know how much they were losing?
