In the past day I've been privy to some outlandish stories about kids acting as animals in school. Last night I was with an old friend whose son is entering high school in the fall. He's going to go to an all-boys Catholic school out of town and had an orientation recently. The incoming kids were paired off and given sheets with personal questions to answer; an ice-breaking exercise. The first question was, "Why are you going to this school?" The other kid's answer was, "because I'm sick of all the furries at my current (public) school." My friend's son had no idea what he was talking about, so the kid explained that in his junior high there are kids who dress as emus and cats and are treated as if this is normal. If he continued on to the high school in his district, he would be attending a school that has placed fucking litter boxes in the rest rooms to accommodate these freaks. So he's back at our parochial school a few days later and mentions this in his eighth grade class. One of his classmate's mom works as the school nurse in our local middle school. She says that her mom said the same thing -- dressing like a cat -- is happening in the local school and the administration is mulling over allowing litter boxes to be placed in the rest rooms. I told my wife about this this morning and so today at work (at a school for developmentally challenged kids) she was talking to some of the other teachers and aides. They told her of at least two other schools in the county that are dealing with this, one of which has a student who insists he's a pig, to which the school has responded by placing a trough in the lunch room. These are small town/rural school districts, the kind that graduate a few dozen kids a year. I'd heard of this insanity happening in freak zones like San Francisco and the DC area, but I'm floored that it's made its way to flyover country so quickly. Has anyone else heard of this happening in their neck of the woods?

I'm glad, but I'm talking 4 separate schools/districts; it's highly unlikely that all of these reports are mistaken. I feel neither paranoia nor fear, just disgust. Any teacher or administrator that tolerates this should have no place dealing with children.

Probably a lot of exaggeration trying to ramp up the unseen boogeyman. More instigating to lead to more separation while the real world and real issues keep going to shit. In this case, it is the Right playing Harold Hill and shouting the world is coming to an end because the Furries are corrupting our youth! The article above explained this is the next fear tactic on the agenda. That article is from the beginning of May, and now we see it being played. It’s been a thing in both my kids school as well as my step kids schools for a few years now (different districts, both public schools). It’s weird as fuck, but even I had not heard of putting a damn litter box in the bathroom.

Just from a public health standpoint, there is zero chance that a school is going to sanction kids shitting in box of sawdust. This story doesn't even begin to pass the sniff test (ha ha). Google this and all you get are stories debunking it. Of course, Google are part of all this. I guess it's true. Excuse me, I have to go now and take my son for a walk. I hope his poops are solid today, much easier to pick up.
