I am not a fan of Jeff Daniels but even he is pretty good in it.

There is a video of Ray talking about his career and he said he had never watched Field Of Dreams. When he was filming it he didn't even think it was anything special or that people would even like it.

Yes. he is one of the most memorable parts of the movie. I am watching it on and off on AMC right now.

Haven't watched Field of Dreams for ages, but was it the one where Matt Damon and Ben Affleck appeared as extras?

I haven't watched it for probably twenty years. I never heard they were in it as extras before now.
