Hard to believe it’s been 25 years. Good documentary.
Bret screwed Bret, or Mr McMahon screwed Bret?
I remember the night Bret came back to the wwf years later, I actually tuned in and it was such a letdown. Oh well.

I believe the whole thing was a work right up to when Hebner rang the bell, and at that point the only one not in on it was Hitman. I also don’t understand why it pissed Bret off so badly, it’s not like they didn’t pay him. Some people take this worked sport way too seriously, and he’s one of the worst. Bret famously signed that 10 year, $10M contract, and one year later Vince tells him he can’t afford him, so he pulls $9M out of WCW for 3 years, guaranteed. So he pocketed all that money when ATM Eric fired him, yet he’s bitter? Come on.

WCW paid him but he never paid back WCW with the El Dandy epic we all deserved.

Bret holds grudges. He has made up with Shawn Michaels but Bill Goldberg has not been let off the hook. Bret thinks Bill should be removed from WWE Hall of Fame.

The kick to the head wasn't deliberate.

No one ever said it was.  He's just a sloppy fuck.

Correct.
Undertaker is lucky he didn't get paralysed in that match when Goldberg (who'd given HIMSELF a concussion) dropped him on his head.
And the other thing that's often not mentioned is that Bret wrestled after the concussion, including a hardcore match with Terry Funk on Thunder. Hard to know how much extra damage that did. Had he tested up he might have recovered much better, or at least not had as many health issues after.
But it was Goldberg's carelessness that started it all. And I don't blame Bret Hart for holding a grudge. Most people do over one thing or another.
