I don't see any possible way that The Boogeyman and Goldust make it to February.  Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder are right up there too.  The last month has shown that if you're not getting at least some TV time, you're pretty much gone.

I have pondered why Hawkins and Ryder haven't been released yet myself.

While the Boogeyman was tolerable for me early on, these last 2 comebacks have done nothing but raise the potential for accidental injuries to other "stars".

It's a shame what they've done to the Goldust character the last few times they have brought him back. It started off in 95/96 as a really good character, and I think they could have gotten some form of mileage out of it in the 2000's as well but have opted to just make him goofy. Why re-hire him in the first place other than to have the entire Runnels family on payroll.

All excellent candidates to be released, the top four I'd imagine.

They need to cut a few of those diva's as well IMO.

Let's see...

I see Duggan being dumped..no need for him to still have a job.

They quietly switched him from a talent contract to a legends contract several months ago, so he was technically "released" but he's still around and was treated much better than Slaughter and the other guys who really were just dumped.  They also ran an angle with him and Cryme Tyme a month back that hasn't been followed up on yet so I don't know if that's been dropped.  I imagine it was heading in a comedic direction with Duggan becoming an old white redneck hoodie.

I'm really worried that they'll cut Scotty Goldman.  Like Gavin Spears, he was called up with no fanfare to job, then sent back down.  That's the precursor to a release.  They're completely missing the boat with him and the fact that they felt that he needed to be sent to developmental for over a year in the first place shows you how clueless they are.

Yes, they should cut their most popular kids attraction and huge merchandise seller at a time when they're marketing to kids more than they have since 1986.  We're being realistic here.  Hornswoggle is considered more valuable to WWE than 95% of the roster, I guarantee you.

And Jesse is awesome.  I wish they'd jumpstart that push again.  But Jesse and Festus are still on TV enough to not be in danger.  The guys getting released go months without TV time.

Also makes no sense to shut down ECW.  SciFi is very happy with the ratings and ECW has become the best hour of actual wrestling on TV each week.  ECW is serving a tremendous purpose by giving real "big time" experience to the developmental guys and letting them work long matches with good veterans like Fit Finlay and Matt Hardy, something they're clearly not getting in FCW.  Why in the world would they shut down a revenue stream AND a developmental opportunity?!

Not so sure there's anything left for the Burchills, given that the pirate gimmick was nixed after Vince McMahon was the only man on the planet not to have heard of Pirates of the Caribbean, Vince's beloved incest storyline vanished after about one week of derision and despite being hott Katie Lea seems to have vanished.

And Kizarny.  Seven weeks of build-up for, what, one match on telly?  Shame, it's a good gimmick.

Hawkins/Ryder...it's astounding that they were tag champs, they wouldn't be recognized at a family reunion.  They've shown no charisma at all.

The Burchills are good choices but they've been moved to ECW now where they're in a mixed tag feud with DJ Gabriel and Alicia Fox (the wedding planner who Edge banged) so at least they're back on TV.  But I still wouldn't be surprised to see them get the ax because Burchill has been considered a top prospect for years and it just ain't happening for him.

I am routinely stunned Boogeyman still has a job. I wonder how much Cryme Tyme has left in them?  They wore out their welcome with me about, oh, the day they were hired but I sadly think they are safe.

Well they were already released once and brought back a few months later, but they've done little since.  I wouldn't be so sure that they're completely safe.

They have been playing out that angle on WWE.com
