It never happened but if it did, Lou would have done the job. Contrary to what some people think, Lou had no problem jobbing during the latter portion of his career as long as he got paid. He was often low on the card then and did jobs for no names like Terry Sawyer. He would have jobbed for Hogan.

Lou even wrestled one match in the 1990s against Masa Chono in Japan. Lou wanted that consecutive decades wrestled record much like Gordie Howe did in Hockey.

One thing that interested me was that Lou was part of Southwest in 1983 or so. He was pushing their belt as the only "world" championship, and let Adrian Adonis use his old belt.

Even in the golden age(1950s) he was always second fiddle in most of the major markets to local guys like Gagne, Rocca, or Rogers. Outside of LA was he even a real draw in a major market as the Champ? So when the 1980s rolled around he was a nobody.
